Amanda Koplin, LPC is a mental health entrepreneur and thought leader who creates innovative solutions to fill gaps in the mental healthcare system. In 2014, she created and developed an idea for a mental health urgent care clinic and sold it in 2016 to create Koplin Consulting, a nationwide concierge mental health treatment team service. Amanda is passionate about helping people achieve mental wellness and creating sustainable support systems and solutions which integrate seamlessly into real life.

She is a speaker and a nationally sought after consultant who specializes in creating unique treatment plans and recommendations for individuals struggling with psychological concerns such as addictions, eating disorders, lack of motivation, and other issues impacting mental wellness. She is particularly adept at involving trusted advisors and family members in order to create the greatest impact.

Amanda attended the University of Oregon for undergrad where she received two bachelor’s degrees: one in psychology and one in women and gender studies, and a certificate in the substance abuse prevention program. She attended Yeshiva University’s Albert Einstein’s College of Medicine where she received her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. Following graduate school, she did in-home counseling for kids in family court and kids charged with felonies in Supreme Court in New York City. This is where she learned the impact of working with people in real life and the impact of working with all of the systems involved with the person of concern. This job not only influenced Amanda’s philosophy regarding mental health treatment, it inspired her to develop her own practical, real life solution in the form of Koplin Consulting. Her mission is to help others recover their quality of life.

Michael Maley, Ph.D.

Chief Clinical Officer

Dr. Michael Maley, Ph.D. comes with extensive experience in both the business world and the counseling world. In his first career in the software industry, he provided consulting and consulting management services to many Fortune 500 companies and state and local governments from IBM, Abbot Laboratories, and Ford Motor Company to The State of Michigan, Pacific Gas and Electric and New England Power and Light. During this time, he developed innovative solutions for these companies and presented at national conferences on the topic of change management. 

In 2000, Michael left the software industry to pursue a career in Counseling Psychology. He received his Master’s Degree and his Doctorate degree from the University of Denver. In his second career, he gained expertise in the field of eating disorders and working with multidisciplinary treatment teams. Michael helped develop the first intensive outpatient program for eating disorders at the La Luna Center in Boulder, Colorado and provided supervision and training to dozens of master’s and doctoral students, as well as colleagues. 

He officially joined the Koplin Consulting team in 2020 providing coaching and supervision and he is now the Chief Clinical Officer of Koplin Consulting. In this new role, he assists in designing the clinical programming, supporting coaches and supervisors in the field, completing initial assessments with families, and envisioning and implementing clinically complex and creative plans for families struggling with addictions, eating disorders, mental illness, and behavioral disorders.

Michael also has experience providing executive coaching to businesses and executives on team building skills, diversity and multicultural issues, hiring and employee development, and change management. In this capacity, he understands the key elements it takes for businesses and teams to be successful operating on a day to day basis while they pursue a common mission. 

Lisalee Ibanez

Chief Operations Officer

Lisalee holds a Master of Science in Urban Affairs with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from Hunter College. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Brandeis University. After college she worked for an alternative to placement/incarceration program in New York City as Intake Coordinator where she met Amanda. As Intake Coordinator, Lisalee learned the importance of making meaningful first impressions with clients and stakeholders, building trust and rapport to grow the program’s reputation and standing within the Family and Supreme court systems.

For the past 10 years, Lisalee has worked in a variety of capacities in the field of Youth Development in New York City providing capacity building for young professionals and first time managers working with young people, assessing organizational capacity and creating systems to improve the effectiveness of programming, onboarding, human resources and staff capacity building. She has evaluated youth development programs and provided ongoing quality control and technical assistance. Throughout her academic career, she completed needs assessments for nonprofit organizations and created strategic plans to improve their quality of service, evaluation and data collection systems, customer/client service and plan for their financial future.

Lisalee consciously lives the mission of helping people and companies create sustainable changes through the implementation of unique systems, people, and quality practices.
